Who's Who on the 2024 Sparks WNBA Roster
Introducing the Sparks' Game-Changers
The Point Guards
Leading the charge at the point guard position are the dynamic duo of Lexie Brown and Aaliyah Boston. Brown, a proven floor general with lightning-fast speed, will be tasked with setting up her teammates and orchestrating the Sparks' offense. Boston, a rising star with a high basketball IQ, will provide stability at the helm and contribute with her exceptional ball-handling skills.
The Shooting Guards
At shooting guard, the Sparks boast a trio of talented players: Chennedy Carter, Brittney Sykes, and Jasmine Thomas. Carter, known for her explosive scoring ability, will be a primary threat from beyond the arc. Sykes, a versatile defender with a knack for creating turnovers, will be a force on the defensive end. Thomas, a veteran leader with a wealth of experience, will provide stability and guidance to the younger players.
The Forwards
The Sparks' forward lineup features a mix of size and athleticism. Nneka Ogwumike, a former WNBA MVP and Olympic gold medalist, will be the centerpiece of the frontcourt. Her all-around game and physical presence will make her a dominant force in the paint. Breanna Stewart, another former WNBA MVP, brings a combination of versatility and scoring prowess to the team. Lastly, Chiney Ogwumike, Nneka's younger sister, will provide energy and rebounding off the bench.
The Centers
Holding down the paint for the Sparks will be Liz Cambage and Jordin Canada. Cambage, a towering center with a soft touch around the rim, will be a force on both ends of the court. Canada, a quick and agile post player, will provide a spark off the bench with her hustle and defensive intensity.
