Arsenal loanee praised as “great potential” after impressive Serie A debut
Saka impresses on loan in Italy
Arsenal loanee Bukayo Saka has been praised for his “great potential” after an impressive Serie A debut with Juventus.
The 18-year-old winger joined the Italian giants on a season-long loan deal in the summer and made his debut in their 2-0 win over Hellas Verona on Sunday.
Saka started the game on the right wing and impressed with his pace, trickery, and crossing ability.
“Saka is a very good player with great potential,” said Juventus manager Maurizio Sarri after the game.
“He has a lot of quality and I’m sure he will be a valuable addition to our team.”
Saka’s performance was also praised by his teammates, with Cristiano Ronaldo saying: “Saka is a very talented player and I’m looking forward to playing with him more.”
Saka’s Arsenal future
Saka’s impressive debut has led to speculation that he could be recalled to Arsenal in January.
However, Sarri has insisted that he wants to keep Saka at Juventus for the rest of the season.
“I don’t want to lose Saka,” said Sarri.
“He’s a very important player for us and I’m sure he can help us achieve our goals this season.”
It remains to be seen whether Arsenal will recall Saka in January, but his impressive debut for Juventus suggests that he has a bright future ahead of him.
